How to backup Whatsapp chat to Google drive

A majority of the peoples are using social media platforms to run their businesses and chat with others, so sometimes we lost our important data due to some unexpected reasons. That’s why most social media companies like Facebook are providing local data and cloud backup services.

What is Data Backup in Whatsapp ?  

Data backup is a life feature, which helps the user to directly access the backed up chats media and documents even if he/she lost his/her phone.

There found two types of Data Backup

1.     Local Data Backup 2. Google Drive Backup or cloud backup

Local data backup is used to create backup of your data in  local storage where as Google drive data basically uses cloud services to back up your data.

Note : You can’t restore your data if your backup file has been deleted from your local storage but you can acess your google drive backup whenever you want to restore your backed up data

But for your information Google drive backup isd not End-to-End enrypted whereas local data backup is secure with End-to-End encryption.

How to Backup ?  

·        Open your whatsapp then tap on three dot on the top right corner of your whatsapp

·        You will some options, head towards to Chats




·        Then you wiill find Chat Backup option in the bottom, just tap on it and your backup will be stored in Internal Storage>Whatsapp>Backups




How to Restore Backed up Data ?

·        Open your whatsapp and enter your phone number to finish the verification

·        Enter OTP recived on your phone and jump to nextr step where you can see a green Restore button

·        Tap on it and your backed data will be restored in few seconds
